9 Things That Highly-Sensitive People Do
Studies estimate that 15 -20 percent of the population is highly sensitive. Highly sensitive people are hypersensitive to various stimuli, ranging from pain to caffeine. As a result, high-sensitive people develop certain characteristic features. The following nine are among these features.
They feel overwhelmed when they have to do too much at the same time.
Highly sensitive people find it difficult to concentrate on one task when they have different things to do. They become nervous and feel stressed, making them much less productive.
They find a loud environment chaotic.
Highly sensitive people don’t function well in large open office gardens because this overdrives their senses through all the sounds, smells, and activities around them.
They get cranky when they’re hungry.

When a highly sensitive person is hungry, he or she gets cranky faster. They find it difficult to function and they express their frustrations on the person closest to them.
They find it suffocating when they are observed.

Highly sensitive people work best when they sit somewhere alone or quietly. Put them in a high-pressure situation like when they have to give a presentation and perform less well because of their pressure.
They are touched by art.
Whether visiting a musical or a gallery, highly sensitive people appreciate art. They notice that they are touched by the creative expressions.
They recognize the discomfort of other people.
Highly-sensitivity people recognize it when someone else likes it when the lights are dimmed, or the music needs to be softer. They feel exactly what someone else needs.
They retreat when things get too overwhelming.

After a long day or a busy week, a highly sensitive person needs time for himself to recover. For example, a quiet bedroom can be the ideal place for a highly sensitive person to recharge.
They find it uncomfortable when there are loud sounds.

Loud concerts or loud fireworks are often not that fun for highly sensitive people. They’re a lot more sensitive to sound than other people.
They avoid violent and violent images on TV or online.

Watching violent movies or playing violent games can quickly be too much for a highly sensitive person.
Being highly sensitive does not mean that you have a disorder or have something else that needs to be ‘made’.. no, it simply means that everything enters deeper. When you know that you are highly sensitive, you can slowly become aware of the things that are too much for you and take this into account in the future.
